We want you to feel confident in your MadeKind purchase. If something isn’t quite right, we’re here to help.

Returns Window

You may request a return or exchange within 14 days of receiving your order.

Eligibility for Returns

To qualify for a return or exchange:

  • Items must be unused, unwashed, and in the same condition as received
  • Products must be returned in their original packaging
  • Items must be in a resaleable condition
  • We reserve the right to decline a return if these conditions are not met

If a returned item does not meet these requirements:

  • The return will be declined and no refund will be issued

Should you wish to have the item returned to you:

  • The cost of re-delivery will be for your account
  • The item will only be dispatched once the return shipping fee has been paid

If re-delivery is not arranged within a reasonable timeframe, we reserve the right to retain or dispose of the item.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Sale items or items purchased during promotional periods
  • Used items

Please note that all personalised items are made to order and are non-returnable and non-refundable.

We will only replace or refund a personalised item if:

  • The item arrives damaged, or
  • There is an error in the personalisation made by MadeKind (e.g. incorrect name applied)

In such cases:

  • You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Clear photos of the item and issue must be provided

If approved, we will arrange collection and redo the personalisation at no additional cost.

Important – Spelling Responsibility

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring that all spelling and details are correct when placing an order
  • If an error is submitted by the customer, this will not qualify for a refund or free replacement
  • Any corrections requested after production will require a new order at the customer’s cost

How to Start a Return

To initiate a return, please email us at hello@madekind.co.za with:

  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you’d like to return
  • Reason for return

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of return shipping.

We recommend using a trackable courier service, as we cannot be held responsible for lost returns.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method
  • Original delivery fees are non-refundable

Please allow a few business days for the refund to reflect, depending on your bank.

Exchanges

Exchanges are subject to product availability.

If the requested item is unavailable, a refund will be issued instead.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or has a manufacturing fault:

  • Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Include clear photos of the issue

If confirmed, we will replace the item, repair it, or issue a refund at no additional cost.

Important Notes

  • Normal wear and tear, scratches, or misuse do not qualify for returns or refunds
  • Products damaged due to incorrect use or care will not be eligible for return
